2026 Above and Beyond Adaptive Rock Climbing

This past Memorial Day weekend, yes, even during BottleRock, a remarkable group of volunteers gave up their Saturday to show up for something bigger. At Rockzilla, Napa's only indoor climbing gym, families from all over Napa came together to overcome limits and reach new heights.

This day was about community, and the community delivered. Special education teachers, a nurse practitioner, a wellness coach, a retired police officer, a pre-OT student, parents, siblings, and dedicated community volunteers. The gym was filled with laughter, cheering, high fives, and plenty of hugs. Every challenge was worth a celebration, whether it was putting on a harness for the first time, getting your feet off the ground, ringing the bell at the top, or climbing the wall twenty times over. Every moment was about finding the right challenge and feeling supported the entire way.

North Bay Spot brings specialized pediatric occupational therapy directly to families across Napa, Sonoma, and Solano counties. But our belief in these kids goes beyond therapy. Children with special needs deserve access to joy, to community, and to experiences like this one.

Rock climbing is more than recreation. It is about making friends, overcoming fears, and finding ways to reach new levels together. Navigating a climbing wall is a full-body and mind experience where focus, fitness, and fun combine. We are thrilled to have been able to watch each child reach their own version of the top.

Proudly sponsored by the Rotary Club.

Their generous support made the 2026 Above and Beyond event possible. The Rotary Club of North Napa continues to be a cornerstone of community service in the Napa Valley, and we are deeply grateful for their partnership and belief in this vision.

Dedicated in celebration of Lori Paisley and her retirement, honoring over 22 years of devoted service as a special education teacher. Her lifelong dedication to children with diverse needs is woven into every moment of this event, and her legacy continues to inspire this community.
