Evaluation
Our pediatric services start with a comprehensive assessment of your child’s needs, using a mix of standardized and nonstandardized tools, parent/caregiver interviews, and medical record reviews. This evaluation helps us create child-centered, family-focused goals that guide our therapy. Whether you're interested in individual therapy, intensives, or group intensives, this assessment is the foundation for a personalized plan to support your child’s growth.
FAQs
Do I need an evaluation before starting individual sessions or individual intensive services?
Yes, all pediatric services begin with a comprehensive evaluation. This allows us to assess your child’s strengths and challenges, set meaningful goals, and develop a personalized therapy plan tailored to their needs.
What can I expect after the evaluation is complete?
Once the evaluation is complete, you will receive a formal written report outlining our findings, including your child’s strengths, areas for growth, collaborative goals, and personalized therapy recommendations. We encourage you to share this report with your doctor, school, or any other service provider working with your child to ensure a collaborative approach to their development.
Who determines the best therapy environment for my child?
Our therapists reserve the right to determine the most therapeutic environment for your child’s specific needs. This decision is based on clinical expertise and an understanding of what setting will provide the greatest benefit for skill development and progress. Ideally, therapy takes place in your home, as it allows for the most natural setting for skill development. However, we also offer therapy in other local therapeutic environments if needed, and we will ensure that these settings are within close proximity to your home to maintain convenience and consistency for your child. Our goal is always to provide the most effective and appropriate support.
